The problem, that in my opinion is most important these days - total devastation of our Home - Planet Earth is best seen in developing countries. Why ? Because here nobody cares about recycling, yet the people here - still produce a lot of trash. If you go to any shop in Dominican Republic, and if you buy there even the smallest thing (like apple for example or chocolate) - the clerk will always give you plastic bag for it. Actually - he will give you plastic bag for any thing. And what is going on later with that plastic ? Trujilo -was a dominican dictator, ruling this country for 30 years, until 1961. The life during Trujilo reign was - as historicans and witnesses of that time say - hard for the people who were in conflict with him (which means - anyone who questioned his authority). Some of the unemployed people actually live from what their grow on their fields and farms - and that's how they can survive...Many Dominicans also get some money from family that emigrated to US or Europe or from some foreign lovers who sometimes may send them some "gifts" and money from abroad.

United States - is the main destination country for Dominicans to search for work abroad. Dominicans have one opinion about living in US - is the country filled with money and living there is like living in Paradise. Well, comparing it with salaries in DR - it's truly is. Many people in US earn more in one hour than average Dominican earns in whole week....Interesting, isnt it ?

Well, the only time when I saw the different face of Dominican men was when I saw the cockfight, somewhere in the country (which is actually very popular show here). Imagine dozens of drunk Dominicans, crowded in one place and betting on their favorite "cock" - well, there was some kind of spirit of agression in there...Thank God I didnt experience any other type of violence here in DR. Maybe I was just lucky, or not too stupid to be reason for the violence - who knows.
